One billion people live in urban slums today. This striking number is estimated to double within the next two to three decades. They encounter the urban structures and systems, as their lives take part beyond the planned entity of the city. Established urbanism is too slow to respond this vast amount of new city dwellers. This blogs tries to identify who these people are, how they live, and how urbanism can re-invent itself to accomodate them.
